Maria Curcic

Maria is a multi-disciplined artist who has successfully created a business acumen that includes lives revolving around creative expressions of herself. Her business Le Chapeau Rouge, is a brilliant example of creativity expressed in original one of kind designer hats from her hand. Her love of music has lead her to nights at corporate and arts functions as the DJ Mary Flavors, where she spins her web of musical creativity.

Maria's flair for design has also led her to interior design and finally her current series of paintings are showcased in her solo show " Phoenix Collide".

Maria is engaging her viewers with rich, vibrant colours in this exhibit of recent works.

"The flux of nature and people, mirror the juxtaposition of life and death", she says. Maria is engrossed by the contradiction of the organic and inorganic and her works are about the complexity of the universe.

Her own perceptions of reality, our universe, dreams, entomology and science reflects in her work. She incorporates insect parts with architecture to create new structures that rush the spirit into orbit.

The expression of her subconscious and her perceptions of illusions are manifest in "the real world" in these constructs of the mind made flesh in the form of acrylic and oil paintings.

Come and immerse yourself in the worlds of Maria Curcic.
